A business which would eventually fail and be a mess, and out of their frustration and alot of prayer that’s when the doors opened for them to work on some projects in Northern Iraq and eventually the birth of their current business Buy Shoes. Save Lives.
Today Buy Shoes. Save Lives. has a two-fold mission 1) to give the men who produce these shoes a sense of hope and the ability to provide for their families; 2)Donate 50% of the profits of shoes sold to Iraqi children who need heart surgery.

What do you get when you combine the power of the internet, learning and making a difference feeding the world’s hungry. Freerice.com. I must say once you start playing the vocabulary game you will be addicted, but a good addiction. For every 1 word you get right you donate 20 grains of rice. So for every 5 words you get right you can donate 100 grains of rice. I was able to donate 660 grains of rice.
FreeRice has two goals:
Provide English vocabulary to everyone for free.
Help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free.
I am not going to take up anymore of your time, so that you can go over to the website and see how many grains of rice you can donate. So instead of playing solitaire on your computer this is a great alternative, while you are making a difference.

Did you know that the U.S. spends approximately $7500 on an annual basis per pupil and in developing countries they can barely spend $20 per year per pupil. Something is surely wrong with that picture. Well there is a non-profit company that has made it their mission to close that education gap. The name of the company is One LapTop, Per Child.
The mission of the One Laptop per Child association is to develop a low-cost laptop—the “$100 Laptop”—to revolutionize how we educate the world’s children. Our goal is to provide children around the world with new opportunities to explore, experiment, and express themselves. Why do children in developing nations need laptops? Laptops are a window and a tool: a window into the world and a tool with which to think. They are a wonderful way for all children to learn learning through independent interaction and exploration.
